On the 3rd November 2020, the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and the National Foundations Dialogue Initiative (NFDI) hosted the Business pre-dialogue webinar as a building up to the Public Dialogue scheduled for the 19th November 2020. The main theme was on how business can contribute to water security and decent sanitation in communities.
The business community is an important stakeholder in a thriving social ecosystem that has been sadly dysfunctional in South Africa. In Limpopo, water uncertainty has led to unnecessary and undesirable tensions and failed outcome.
The webinar was attended by business representatives from various organisations in Limpopo such as Minerals Council South Africa, South African Subtropical Growers’ Association, Invanplats, SAAAG – ZZ2, Business Multidimensional Poverty Index and the Limpopo National Department of Water & Sanitation.
Chairperson of Sesele Investment Group, Mr Ben Mphahlele was elected as a business representative to take lead for the business sector at the Public Dialogue on the 19th November 2020.
