The National Foundations Dialogue Initiative (NFDI) Chairperson, Ms Nomhle Canca capped NFDI’s notable activities from 2019 and emphasised that the public should be encouraged to host dialogues to avoid being the only curator of dialogues in the country. Professor Barney Pityana, Patron of the Thabo Mbeki Foundation agreed with the Chairperson and believes that the NFDI needs to be the one that injects a large dose of rationality into irrational situations.

The 2020 dialogues will focus on important issues affecting the country. The NDFI member foundations will also host regional dialogues in various provinces to work together for the South Africa we envision.
